5Good oscilloscope at a good price
By KB1RZA
Being an amateur radio and electronics hobbyist, I needed an oscilloscope for various applications. Most of the DSO's currently on the market can be a bit expensive for someone who does not intend to use it for profit. This scope provides all or nearly all of the same features of oscilloscopes that have a price 10 times higher. It has also proven to be very accurate. I took it to work and benchmarked it against $4000 to $5000 "NIST" calibrated digital Phosphor storage oscilloscopes, and the results were extremely good, with very little variance in measured wave form characteristics. The controls are relatively intuitive and without reading the manual I had it set up in just a few minutes. Its light weight and compact size make it an easy fit on any work bench. I am very pleased with this unit and I would recommend it to anyone who needs an affordable oscilloscope.

5Amazing value for the price
By John Doner
I have been an electronics hobbyist since pre-transistor days, meaning back when I was a kid. Of course, oscilloscopes existed back then, but they were huge and very much too expensive for a kid. But as an adult I bought several $1000 + scopes over the years, and although all of them were of good quality, absolutely none of them did what an inexpensive little scope like this can do now. (God bless the microprocessor!)

The user interface is quite intuitive, and most of the simple tasks, like just viewing a time-domain signal, are very straightforward. But one very strong point of this scope is the excellent manual, far better than manuals for most instrumentation today. If you are interested in this scope, download the manual: you will be very much more impressed when you have perused it. No matter what function I wish to use, the manual description is succinct and accurate, and I'm very quickly back to my project rather than struggling with the very inventive grammar and vocabulary of "Chin-lish".
