1Many bugs and NO technical support

I have owned a Hantek DSO-2150 for over a year and use it a lot. At first I noticed a few annoying minor software bugs but Hantek would do nothing about it. Then recently I discovered that the 1, 2, and 4 seconds per division time base settings all ran at about 6.5 seconds per division. After over 10 emails beteween Hantek support staff and myself, they stopped responding. The person kept telling me not to display 1 KHz signals on a 1 second per division setting. I kept telling them I was not doing that and even sent a number of screen shots and even a video. It is a sad state of affairs since the hardware is rather good. But having buggy software and ZERO technical support is a bad combination.

4Works just fine!

I have had my Hantek 2150 for a little less than a year. I find it almost ideal as a hobbyist oscilloscope. I have no complaints about its basic functionality and it is very reliable.
My only complaint is that the knobs on the graphic interface are clumsy to use. Fortunately, the pull down menus make up for that shortcoming.
I read the reviews that claim the slower time functions are inaccurate. That prompted me to check mine to see what was going on. My setup is a Dell I5 computer with Windows 7 Home Premium. I checked the timing with a stopwatch by observing how long it took for the display line to roll across the screen. Note that sweep mode is not available for the slower timebase settings. All of the time base settings were accurate within my ability to measure with this crude technique. I then set up an Arduino as a signal source. Granting that the Arduino crystal frequency might be off by a few percent, and given that scope measurements are only good to a few percent, I verified that the signals were reasonably represented. The one shortcoming that I observed is that, if I changed the time base the derived data at the bottom of the screen (frequency and pulse width) were not accurately updated. When I reaquired the data, the derived data was correct.
I believe those who have reported the issue, but there is a possibility that it is a system level problem involving the setup of their computer.
This isn't a four thousand dollar HP scope and I never expected it to perform as well as one. I have about 45 years experience using oscilloscopes. I have used other USB scopes (Pico) and the performance of the Hantek hardware and software is comparable, while the cost is considerably lower.
It bothers me that I have to be careful about the derived data, but I rarely use that functionality.
When all is said and done, I am quite happy with the scope and would not hesitate to buy it again or to recommend it to a friend.
