4Intriguing
By A2life
First of all, this is the same product as shown as DSO 203 or DSO Quad on other amazon sellers.

72Mhz Analog Channel is misleading. Original chinese spec. must have meant scope's sampling rate of 72Msa/Sec, so actual bandwidth is somewhere above 5 Mhz.

It does not come with any written manuals. you need to go out and look through internet. I found them in seeedstudio.com web site. There you can find "official" manual and also user contributed manual.

Also, if you go to youtube and do search on DSO quad or DSO 203, you will find several videos on this machine. This should help you to decide if the unit is for you.

Concept of this scope is somewhat unique. The firmware is "open" and means of updating/upgrading it flash memory is readily available (see the site mentioned above)

Screen is quite small, and crammed with data readouts. But thanks to full color LCD used, they are easy to read.

Being so small, probes that are used with this unit does not have usual BNC connector. the unit is equiped with mini-coaxial socket often found with GPS antenna connection. This means you will need BNC to MCX(?) adapter if you want to use standard probes.

The unit comes with two probes (with mini connector) one is with grabbers and other is a standard 1x/10x probe with ground lead.
channel A/B are analog channels. channel C is digital. Channel D is also digital but this channel can be configured to show A+B, A-B etc.,

Many videos and photos show this unit with white cover but mine came with clear shells with texture on it.

I know this scope can nicely support my small electronic projects. But price point is where you might have to debate with yourself before making a buy decision.

I say this because if you go out on eBay or even craigslist, you know you can get a decent analog scope from two decades ago that can handle up to 50Mhz if you are willing to pay as much as you will pay for this unit.
Yes, these are bulky scopes and can not store the data but it maybe more practical depending on your need. Digital is not always better than Analog as far as the oscilloscope is concerned.

The concept of high speed risc processor handling all those signals and showing data in conventional fashion on the display the size of cell phone is quite intriguing though. These days everything seems to be achievable with micro computer and software on it.

3Must Have Toy
By tHEgEEK
It took over a month for me to receive a working unit, but I finally have one. Despite the potential of this design, this scope is little more than a toy, but a toy that is worth the money for me. The scope is considerably smaller than my smartphone, but the display is more than sufficient to capture/interpret any waveform that it is capable of processing. Read the manual (only available on line) to see if the scope specs meet your needs (this is NOT capable of "72 Mhz").

The controls are clever, but not intuitive to use, at least not until you become accustom to them. The on-board storage is a nice touch, and interfacing to your computer is straightforward. The probes connect to the scope with MCX connectors (and these probes are not easy to come by, and it only comes with one 1x/10x analog probe). You can buy MCX connectors cheap on ebay and convert any standard BNC probe, or as I did, build a "dongle" (BNC(F) to MCX(M))to use my collection of standard probes, CT's, noise and network tools, etc. with this scope.

If you do any service calls that rarely require a "real" scope (50-100Mhz), then this scope is a must have (one less tool that can get broken, stolen, or delayed by our TSA friends).

4What about a user manual ?
By dpasqual
I would not do a same comment as the others but, I speak normally french and my english is, how do you say? cooking english. So I would be short. It's a very useful mini oscilloscope with all the minimum usefull functions. But why don't you deliver a user guide whith it ?.
By the way. I've apprecieted the short delivery time.

Thanks and best regards.

Daniel.
