Buyer beware of the full story!

The model advertised is a DG1022.
The specs are for a DG1022.
The picture shows a DG1022.
The model I was sent was a DG1022U.
This is a model intended for the Asian market. When I powered it on, the default language was Chinese and it took a while to figure out how to get it to English because when I looked at the manual, it was also written in Chinese. I had to google the manual for the DG1022 and use it to guide myself through the menus to change the language to English.
The DG1022U model is functionally equivalent to the DG1022A and capable of 25MHz (5MHz greater than the DG1022). I was perturbed that I was sent a model different than was advertised but at the same time I was thinking maybe I should be thankful for the extra 5MHz and move on since I had gotten past the issue of the Chinese menus. But then there was the issue of warranty support....
I contacted Rigol support and told them the model I had received and asked if they would provide warranty support if there was an issue with it. They confirmed that the model was intended for the Asian market and stated that they would not support this model if there was an issue.
While the product is still good, I was not willing to take a chance of not having any kind of warranty should something go wrong. I returned the unit.

Bad design

After receiving the unit it worked fine for about an hour, it was doing good, then shut it off for a few hours, next time it was turned on, it never did turn back on, the company I bought it from stated maybe a fuse blew on the inside, they wanted me to open it up and check, which I'm sure would have invalidated any warranty! The unit is poorly designed to blow a fuse or whatever in less than a day!
