Needs Pegasys to be effective

So if you watched the video online showing vehicle specific wiring diagrams and hookup instructions based on specialized connectors forget about it unless you use a Pegasys with your subscriptions paid up. When I registered the tool the access to that information went away and you are left strictly with a scope. Since you can get handheld scopes for under 300 now, this is a pretty bad deal. It won't do anything more than those will, especially if you already have a kv lead. When I contacted support they were rude and told me that "it's a scope not a diagnostic tool" Last I checked, instructions for hooking up a scope is a scope function and not that of a scan tool. I was looking to save time from having to lookup a wiring diagram to see what pins do what. I had the opportunity to preview the functionality of their system in demo mode. I would say that even if you have a Pegasys you will find yourself going back to the wiring diagram as the help was limited to only a very select few systems on the sampling of cars I punched in.
